This Tuesday from 7am to 6pm I observed 15 trains 2 Amtrak 13 BNSF sounds like action in Cleburne is starting to get busier now a new record for me in my hometown.

Several years ago, you would have seen empty coal trains that now go NB(WB timetable) on the Lampasas Sub instead of Fort Worth Sub.

And there were many loaded coal trains southbound.

It's a damn shame Santa Fe couldn't do that back in the day when things were interesting and it was worth a 70 mile trip!!

They still run a couple coal loads, not too long ago they ran NB 2x4 coal empty through here, now the emptys get routed through Lubbock, but wouldn't be surprised if they end up running 65 trains a day through Cleburne with the soon to be double track from Alliance to Rio Vista.

When is the double track project due to be completed ? Thanks, Kelly

I dont know yet for sure, I am hoping the end of this year or next year sometime, they said it will be a mutilyear project.
