top: the MLW unit that has been basking in the CO sun for nearly a decade still sits, unused and abused at Ordway, CO, on a spur off the former MP former DRGW main which, by the way, looks to be in excellent shape. middle: a quick stop to get a shot of the former C&O ALCO trucks SD18 at the grain elevator in Coolidge, KS, which also had a BNSF grain train spotted. bottom: lucked out as on leaving the above shot a headlight was visible approaching into the afternoon sun light. Did not expect to see this westbound empty auto rack train also at Coolidge, KS. JB Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 03/28/20 20:24 by 3rdswitch. Jim, First one is def not running. 2nd shot, the SD18 at Coolidge, it runs. Have seen it working quite a few times. Used to help spot the cars at the facility. BNSF power, from what I have seen, has them spotted west of the facility on siding. Ben |
