How many UP SD60 still running? UP 2179 is still running around the LA area. Been around for awhile.

The UP has added three different models from what were all originally SD60s. They now also have SD62, SD60E, and SD62E. There are 83 units included in these 4 models.

SD60 = none active
SD62 = 7 units active (UP 2189,2196,2204,2216,2217,2229,2235)
SD60E = one active (UP 2223, only one of this model on roster)
SD62E = 6 units active (UP 2179,2184,2198,2208,2238,2239)

And for good measure, only one SD60M is active - UP 2414.

the Alton & Southern railroad leases 3 SD-60's from the UP one widecab and two standard cabs, I know at least two are in service in East St. Louis as they took a transfer across the bridge 20 minutes ago.

The 2414 being one of them.

2239 was working in southeast Idaho recently.

Update to this roster list, saw UP SD60M 2378 and SD62 2234 northbound into Portland this afternoon 3rd and 4th in consist. Don't recall if they were online or not but they did appear to have fresh(er) paint.
