Double Surprise on MRL (but not to DAF)...
Author: Alco251

The rain has stopped, the sun peeks out and we've taken the rental car across hill and dale to the secluded, elusive (to our lenses, anyway) Montana Rail Link semaphores at Trout Creek, Montana in ealy October, abour 21 years ago. We ar on top of the world--or so we think--until it becomes another tale of The Train Than Never Came. Before we leave, we carpetbaggers from out of state realize that a local--and a future Trainorders.com subscriber-- has not only done significant landscaping here for the benefit of photographers...he's let us know that it's "his spot."

Probably one of those bad eastern habits he picked up with his brothers in Joisey.

Not many taggers provide their own billboard.

Let's settle down out there. Sadly that sign came down when MRL removed the pole line during a signal upgrade that ended the reign of the semaphores.

monaddave... in Missoula
