Because Old PhotoBob can't go out of the home after dark.........

and Nurse Ratchit caught him trying to sneak past her a while back, they canceled his hall pass and this is what he missed. Oh yeah, they took away his walker driver's license also. Photo taken at Ludlow on the Needles Sub.

That ain't Kansas. Look at the mountains in the background. You're flat as hell back there.

First off, nice shot and thanks for posting.  Now, I'll stick up for Lance here because Kansas isn't "flat as hell".   There are portions that are relatively level, but there's also a lot of steep hills, I think a couple of them are in the Matfield Green area.  If you want flat, Don, go to Saskatchewan or eastern Alberta, Canada.  That's FLAT!

We don't need no stinkin' mountains. Dull rocks.

We have the Kansas Sky. It is beautiful and changes constantly.

Don, I think I need to clarify this comment about not letting me out after dark, I was told they were worried I might run into you.

Flat in the sense a canvas is flat.

Mountains? Boring.

The Kansas Sky? Incomparible.

I have been to seven nations, three oceans, and to 48 of the 50 states (I'll get to you, Idaho and Montana) and can unequivocally state: Kansas has the best sky of anywhere.

People who have never spent time in Kansas don't "get it," and that is understandable.

The storms from Thursday evening (depicted nearby) towered
twice as high into the atmosphere as Mount Everest while continuously spinning, changing shapes and changing textures. When the sun sets, the lightning and sprites (example here: https://i.redd.it/ugpc79ebu1541.jpg; some were visible last night) make the atmosphere magic.

Not every day is like that, of course. But, a surprising number are. What a great place to live!

And on top of that Don, it's a LOT safe in Dunsmuir after dark than Glendora!!

Caught by Nurse Rachitt?  THAT could be trouble......at the very least, he'd be getting an extra dose of Thorazine........but, depending on his cooperation, or not, there will be a series of ECT, or maybe even the Big L, in store for him.  Pity.

Whoa!!! Incredible images here! A couple of years ago I got lucky and bagged a hand-held lightning shot, but your 2 images here are off the chart with professionalism! They're both worthy of being on the pages of National Gegraphic magazine! Kudos... :^)
