Western Railroad Discussion > Trading nuclear power for new, clear powerDate: 05/25/20 22:23 Trading nuclear power for new, clear power Author: z-trains That pun was painful but it's my post and I can do what I want with it
Rather than engaging with the throng of railfans chasing the Schnabel train as it made its painfully slow trip across the BNSF this morning, my dad and I headed out to the Needles subdivision to intercept a set of power heading west on a Z-WSPSBD-8 that was making serious time across the desert. With a particularly slow westbound manifest holding it up, the dispatcher routed the westbound Cadiz turn and the WSPSBD up the shorter track to Ash Hill, leading to something that we've been wanting to get for a while, new power going the "wrong way" up the grade. -Westbound manifest at Trojan, standard shot. After this westbound passed we headed up to West Siberia to get the Cadiz turn and the Z -The Cadiz -The WSPSBD. Very happy with this shot, westbounds at this location are always a treat during the summer. Have you ever thought of bringing a sign along with you thats states where your going to post you pics. The crew may be interested in checking them out especially with your lense and getting their faces. They may become familiar with you and the sign and start getting egar for a picture once they see themselves. Just a thought of something fun you could try. Where the same shirt or a bright bandana, or hat so they become familiar with you. Posted from Android Date: 05/26/20 04:03 Re: Trading nuclear power for new, clear power Author: bobk Nice shots!
