Is this a plan to have a short display track that a piece of rolling stock can be placed or is it a beginning for a shortline that can be operated?
Date: 06/03/20 06:11 Re: South Park Rail Construction Progress 2 June Author: cozephyr Per their website-“The Como Project” has so far established the limited operation of a steam locomotive and passenger car between the Como Depot and Roundhouse. However, we are also planning a possible extension towards the King Branch Wye in the future. This project also involves the South Park Rail Society's acquisitions and restoration of DSP&P and related railroad's rolling stock and equipment..."
The purpose of this Master Plan is to provide an overall framework and guidance for the South Park Rail Society’s portion of the Como Project; namely the roundhouse, the yard area surrounding the roundhouse and the track extension from the Hotel to the trestle. Link, was quoted," Like the ancient Phoenix that rose from the ashes, Como the once great railroad center..." While the Denver South Park & Pacific --Denver Leadville & Gunnison--Colorado & Southern--never made it to the Pacific it made it to the hearts of many. MOMORIES. Tom Klinger

Months just drug on and on. :) Seriously, I can't believe the good stuff that just keeps coming out of the SPRS and DSP&PHS up there every year. Thank you for a great thing, to all involved with the effort. Date: 06/04/20 16:16 Re: South Park Rail Construction Progress 2 June Author: CimaScrambler |
