Foggy Start with a Sunny Ending
Author: rrartist

The day dawned with heavy fog in the Mississippi River valley between La Crosse WI and Winona MN, this didn't deter me from catching CP 288, CP 8128 at Dresbach MN. Then up Goodview MN where I caught the CP Road switch G77 doing a few switching moves with the SOO 30 caboose acting as their shoving platform. Finally my ticket back to La Crosse in the form of CP 686, CSXT 4548 shown here passing by Goodview MN.

I stopped and photographed CP 686 a few times in the 30 miles drive back to La Crosse WI, the top image is Homer MN, the middle image is Lamoille MN and lastly, Dakota MN.  Thanks for riding along!

Nice variety of trains and weather Jim! Nice to get a friendly wave in your picture. Most of my waves come after picture is taken.

Fog or sunshine, that Dresbach location is as good as any for shooting trains. Thanks for sharing Jim.
