Golden Triangle Railroad
Author: Fiftyfooter

Seems like I only see these Golden Triangle boxes  on the Barstow to San Diego trains!
Someone told me they carry a lot of marine for the Navy and equipment from Texas and the East!

Anyone know more!

I have my doubts. Golden Triangle Railroad is a small short line railroad in eastern Mississippi. The railroad used to be owned by Weyerhaeuser but, was sold to Patriot Rail a number of years ago. The mill itself is now owned by International Paper.

About the only thing the military ships via boxcars these days are bombs. Everything else is usually shipped in a container.
The military loves containers because they're secure and can be used as portable storage too.
