Western Railroad Discussion > Half-lit at Blue Cut...Date: 07/06/20 20:11 Half-lit at Blue Cut... Author: oyw ...no, I wasn't drinking! But I did visit Don Winslow's favorite curve near the Swarthout Road crossing in Cajon Pass early Saturday morning. Seconds after the first rays of sunlight peeked over the mountains, eastbound BNSF 7565 conviently appeared in my viewfinder. Like they say, "sometimes it's better to be lucky than good!"

That light doesn't stay there for very long so ya gotta hope for a train. I like that elevated spot you shot from. In the old days I got tons of shots from the little hill but due to health reasons now, I can't climb up there any more so I hafta settle for the track level stuff.
