UP Gila Sub - 2018.06.09 - Photos and Videos from Shawmut

Going back a few years, so these symbols may not exist today.  Here are two trains from a very hot, sunny Arizona day.  First up we have UP 7870 East with the AROEPR-08 (Auto-Roper, UT-El Paso-Reposition).  The following locomotives on this train were UP 7870 (GE C45ACCTE), UP 8243 (GE C45AH).  The date and time was 2018.06.09 @ 2:20 PM.

Second we have UP 8786 East with the QWCTUX-08 (Priority Manifest-W. Colton-Tucson, AZ-Extra).  The locomotive consist on this train was UP 8786 (EMD SD70ACe), UP 6214 (GE C44ACM) and DPU: UP 9093 (EMD SD70AH).  2018.06.09 @ 2:37 PM.

 Nice work, Christina. I was out there a couple of weeks ago, caught 7 in 5 hours. But back then there were a few more trains.

That SD70AH sounds like it's got a 2-stroke 710 engine under the hood.
