sometimes you can watch them on this cam, not pointed for that right now.. Date: 07/31/20 03:51 Re: Switch Engines at Dodge City Author: howeld Yes. There was a switch crew working Wednesday night when we passed through. They had a GP38 or similar with a GP30. Guessing the GP30 was depowered. Fresh paint on both.
There was also a BN green EMD that had graffiti on the side in town. Date: 07/31/20 11:39 Re: Switch Engines at Dodge City Author: SD45X Also just east of the yard office is a Ex Alaska GP getting a prime mover.
And go south over the River to the next set of tracks and go East for a TNER GP9 or go west to the DCFB Alco. Date: 07/31/20 15:03 Re: Switch Engines at Dodge City Author: callum_out I guess the local that serves Garbage City comes out of Dodge as well. Wih the CVR interchange Dodge can be a pretty
busy place. Out Date: 07/31/20 15:38 Re: Switch Engines at Dodge City Author: swingnose If you’re referring to Garden City then no that local is based out of Garden City, or at least it was when I was out there a few years back

Date: 07/31/20 16:02 Re: Switch Engines at Dodge City Author: callum_out Thanks for the Garden City info, was strange becaiuse the power never seemed to tie down there but it's been a few
years since I was back there. Out Date: 08/01/20 01:48 Re: Switch Engines at Dodge City Author: SD45X Well for the last 16 years it's tied down at Garden City for sure. Just west of the depot across the street where the power parks.
Date: 08/01/20 09:33 Re: Switch Engines at Dodge City Author: callum_out That's what makes railfanning interesting. I was in Graden City a couple days a month for nine years, our account manager ,made calls with me
around the depot area and while we'd see the power switching, never saw it parked. Out |
