An evening at Laurel
Author: oberhardt

A slow afternoon developed into a busy evening today at Laurel with intermodals, unit oil, unit coal, mixed freights, and one new Amtrak Cascades locomotive move.  Here are two shots - first a westbound BNSF mixed freight entering the Laurel yard and then a westbound MRL mixed freight notching it up at Wold Road.  Enjoy!

I would be one to see a picture of the new Amtrak Cascades unit that went thru Laurel this evening, if you got one..

This appears to be at the Mossmain wye, where the former Great Northern line north to Great Falls takes off. Note both legs of the wye in the photo. Some might say this is just east of the Laurel Yard, but I seem to recall this is in yard limits.
