Nice bit of technology intermodal hustory.

Still, back two decades ago, various insiders debated the long term prospects of ROADRAILER' engineerin as a expanding market coverage product.

A number of us at best had a Level of Market Confidence in the Fifty-Fifty range.
No better tan a coin flip.

Saw it as a lower density route market niche.

Most RR senior nanagement teams likely so cincluded because there was no expansive CAPEX train set investment over the next two decades.
Mostly a "continued limited route service Balance Sheetbanx Income Statement maintenace enterprise devision followed.

insufficent critical market coverage and fleef availibilty were the consequences.

Sad in part
But a pretty cinsitent evolving sequencd of efents signaled the outcome.

Not every experimental new service or new engineered product is successful.
Yet from failures, we often learn.
Hopefully we advance, adapt, and continue the market testing.

Or, sometimes abandon the effort.

Which will it be after Roadrailer?

Thanks for that...your video is probably the best view of a Roadrailer I will ever have. I saw one west of Decatur, IL about 18-19 years ago if memory serves.
It was summer, the corn was tall, and I only got a few glimpses from the highway as it sped along.  Hot and humid.
