Western Railroad Discussion > BNSF Cody, WY local Cody to FrannieDate: 08/03/20 04:30 BNSF Cody, WY local Cody to Frannie Author: robj 6/26/2020 with some photos from another day to fill in
As I probably mentioned in another thread my wife is working the summer at the East entrance to Yellowstone Park. This was a work day so I was off to catch the local at Cody. Cody is a little over an hour and I ended up talking to another employee at the park so I was a little late as the local had just left the yard. I heard them talking to so able to catch Two basic photos at Cody from another day. 1) tied up at Cody, yard office almost cut off at right 2) Wye 3) Just east of Cody, highway follows line most of the way Bob Jordan Edited 1 time(s). Looking back I don't know why I didn't stick around at Frannie but did catch them working a little in town on another day which I will follow up on. Dave Dane Date: 08/03/20 06:06 Re: BNSF Cody, WY local Cody to Frannie Author: Bob3985 Glad you are getting to enjoy your trip up north.
I have been up that way a few times but didn't have tome to hang out and chase. One of these days I will have to get up there for a while. Meanwhile the UP is keeping my picture window occupied from time to time. Have a great and safe trip. If I was forced to pick a favorite it would be #9, but i really like them all.

Larry Date: 08/03/20 08:51 Re: BNSF Cody, WY local Cody to Frannie Author: King_Coal Fine series. The land that BNSF forgot! Even the caboose seems so archaic. So far removed from transcontinental container trains. Glad you spent the time to capture it.

Sue was driving to Cody and saw the train on the way. Then I found the train runs out of Cody with a regular M-F run, Very convenient. Brian Stevens Date: 08/03/20 10:38 Re: BNSF Cody, WY local Cody to Frannie Author: mcdeo Thanks for posting the photos. I was in Cody just last week. Had never been there, but didn't get much railfan time. Maybe next time.
