It was a warm sunny day in Ritzville, WA on the BNSF Northern Transcon with a high-low of 85-49. Hot weather is on the way. Traffic is at 17 trains since midnight. The power is mostly ho-hum GE's. It is what it is, sometimes boring. Here is some of the action from today and many from yesterday.

1. WB 312pm grain train with BNSF 6005-6000 on the point with DPU and a friendly toot-toot-wave from the hogger.
2. DPU BNSF 7819 o same train.
3. EB 331pm grain train with BNSF 5982-3985-7921 on the pull with no DPU and a friendly wave from the conductor.

5. WB 557pm grain train with BNSF 5260-5012 on the pull with DPU's and a friendly wave from the hogger.

Hard to imagine being bored with that backyard perch of yours, even if it is a day of orange GEVOs only.

I have to drive an hour plus to Lathrop or Stockton to catch even close to the amount of action you see on the Lakeside. Which of course makes your reports fun to check out.
