It was a WINDY(35-50mph) day in Ritzville, WA on the BNSF Northern Transcon with a high-low 71-61. The wind has been brutal with so many 50mph gusts closing down I-90 and US 395 for a traffic nightmare. A vigorous dry cold front is blowing thru the area. The dust is so bad that I only took a picture of one train today. Sometimes I could not see the tracks for the blowing dust. I hope the electricity stays on while I'm posting. If my post ends suddenly, you know what happened. Here are some of the trains from Saturday, Sunday and one from today.

9/15/2020

1. EB 320pm manifest train with BNSF 6706-7731-87?? on the point with no DPU and a friendly wave from the conductor.
2. WB 336pm oil train with BNSF 7203-8094 on the pull with DPU's and a friendly toot-toot from the hogger.
3. DPU's BNSF 7090-8060 on same train.

I was thinking about you as we pushed our way through Ritzville yesterday back to the Tri-Cities from Montana. We saw the I90 and 395 closurs as we got to Sprague and started planning alternate routes. 

Thankfully we were able to head south on 261 then went to Lind and Hatton before getting back on 395SB. It still took us an hour to get from Tokio (first pic) to Cunningham (second pic)
