Author: aronco Amtrak train 14 from Los Angeles Wednesday, September 9th, will have on rear of train, properly pointed, private car "TIOGA PASS", destined Seattle. At Seattle, car will be moved by BNSF frieght
service to New Westminister, B.C. ( Vancouver), where car will deliver to Canadian Pacific for movement to Medicine Hat, Alberta. From Medicine Hat, this car will escort a trainload shipment of military equipment to Becancour, Quebec, Canada via Montreal and CNR. Upon release from escort service at Becancour, TIOGA PASS will deadhead home to Los Angeles via Albany, New York City, Pittsburgh, Chicago St. Louis, San Antonio, and Yuma. There may be opportunities to ride along on parts of the deahead move. Contact Norm at 760 953 9620 about Sept. 25th to inquire of space. You do know that Canada is a member of the British Commonwealth of Nations, right? And the British Army plays out here because there's a lot more room to play with the big toys then there is in the UK. |
