Diablo Canyon in... What Scale Would This Be?
Author: BoilingMan

A friend asked me to meet him in Albuquerque a couple days ago and help him fly his Cessna back to California.  I grabbed this photo of the ATSF trestle west of Winslow as we went by.
Man, that RR is BUSY!!

Well, it's a fisheye lens; probably a 5diii if I remember right.   Best guess, anyway!

You get up around 41,000 feet and it becomes real obvious.
Unless you're a dedicated "Flat Earther". Science means nothing to them.

I think those flat earthers are just trolls who like to, as the Brit's say, take the Mickey out of the rest of the world.  It seem unfathomable in the modern world that people would be that dumb; talk about blind faith.  or mental illness.

The canyon and river are both referred to as Canyon Diablo.

Don't make fun of the Flat Earth Society.  It has members from all around the globe.

The Earth is flat, it's the lens that distorts it! Have any of you started driving East and ended up where you began?
I think not!

We had two trains approaching from both directions and made two circles to eat up a little time.  The EB got there first, but the timing was still off a bit (I was hoping to catch the power closer to the bridge).  The plane wasn't at it's weight limit, but it wasn't light either (plus we'd topped the tanks in Winslow) and we were in rather thin hot air.  So the airplane wasn't at it's most nimble- so we called this good, and continued West.
