Date: 09/16/20 20:39 Re: Rio Grande 1989 Heritage in California Author: coach In the not too distant future, UP freights taking the Niles Canyon route will stay on the old WP tracks thru Niles, all the way to just past the Hayward BART yard, then take a new transition track to the ex-SP Hayward line. This will be faster and more efficient that the current, convoluted routing via Niles--Centerville--Mulford--Oakland path.
