CN 7600 and slug 600 at Tacoma WA

 #  1  CN 7600 and slug 600 coupled  together at Progress Rail  Tacoma WA. Shot through the fence as they were moving it around. The weather was not good raining and clouds.Sorry about the car!  Date Sept 24 2020

Some kind of GP40 rebuild, or just a GMD version?

It's a nice gesture to do heritage schemes, but the colors are completely off from the original CN green and gold.

Originally built as a GP38-2, it has now been cobbled into a GP40-3.

If you’re referring to the lack of visible exhaust opening, it’s presumably within the former paper air filter housing. That is something that Western Rail has done in their engine conversions.

INFINITELY better than stickers on an otherwise indistinguishable normally painted unit (referring to both packs of clowns in Fort Worth and Jacksonville)...
