Looking back at 2003
Author: funnelfan

1. H-PASNTW heading eastbound down Marshall Canyon Sept 20th, 2003. Those were fun times with mixed consists as well as a mix of old and new freightcars. GN, NP and CB&Q cars were still around, and look at that impressive block of refers, don't see that much these days. This view is now heavily overgrown and consists like this that were common them, are the rarity today.

2. H-PASNTW on a roll at West Hauser, ID on Sept 11, 2003. An eclectic consist of a BNSF CW40-8, BN SD40-2, BNSF SD40-2, SOO SD60, ATSF SD45-2, BNSF CW44-9 leads the charge at Sunset.

3. Simpson Train of rough cut lumber from Mill 5 backs into the huge waterfront complex in Shelton, WA were the lumber will be finished and dried. Sept 5th, 2003. What was once a huge economic force in rural part of a Puget Sound backwater, is all just a memory now.
