The train had run north from Yakima. It ran around its train at Ellensburg and proceeded back to Yakima. It went south with the same boxcars it brought north
I'm not really sure what this run was all about, but I'm glad I got a few shots of it Jonathan Fischer West Seattle, WA Date: 10/18/20 11:22 Re: WCRC 102 @ Ellensburg, WA; 06/1993 Author: rrartist Nice set of F's! Thanks for sharing!

Carrizo Gorge Railway a few years later! Lots of memories with these units! Ran many miles with these units on work trains and freights with CZRY! They're still around but stuck in Jacumba, CA. waiting for the line to reopen(if ever) to remove them from the old SD&AE. Blockages in Mexico at the former Tunnel 3 and a major rockfall at the east end of Tunnel 16 in the Carriso Gorge! I chased to Ellensburg,
then was in the lead unit on the way back. Had an article in Railfan Mag about the trip. I was handed a company radio and stopped the train where ever we wanted it. In the first shot, we had the fans on board get off and clear brush around the units. In the one by Rosa Dam, I and one other fan were the only ones to get off and get this spot. It is very hard to get there on foot. I have to say I was sure something was going to go wrong, weather, safety issues or something, but it went as smooth as possible. Caboose was full of fans too.
