Western Railroad Discussion > NS 1066 Comes to IowaDate: 10/19/20 04:23 NS 1066 Comes to Iowa Author: MILW86A The railfan hotline was buzzing about a CN U705 with NS 1066 leading on Sunday out of Chicago. Since I happened to be home for a wedding and didnt have this heritage motor yet, I made a run up to Dubuque
Went to East Cabin for a couple of BNSF trains, and then the CN train was boated for a barge. Date: 10/19/20 04:26 Re: NS 1066 Comes to Iowa Author: MILW86A U 705 arrives in Iowa. First shot is at the west end of the Miss RIver Bridge past the shot tower. 2nd and 3rd shots are at the yard office.

Cool. Date: 10/21/20 23:38 Re: NS 1066 Comes to Iowa Author: pbouzide GREAT shots (and plenty of them) of one of my favorites.
There are only four of the NS Heritage Units I haven't caught yet, and 1066 leads the list, and not for lack of trying. Although I wouldn't mind seeing the CofG or the Creamsicle either. The fourth was the Monongahela, and I sorta saw it outside the window of a dinky at Cicero Yard, but I don't count "sorta" and that one's kinda boring to me. |
