Speaking of long trains
Author: tomstp

I feel sorry for some people in Big Sandy Tx with regard to the time it takes for a UP train to clear a road crossing.  Time ranges from 7+ minutes to as long as 10 minutes depending on length of  the trains.  And, none of them are short anymore...Setting in a vehicle and waiting that long  for the train to clear I bet they wonder if it ever will.  Hope none of them need to go to the potty real bad!

Are there alternate ways to cross the tracks? i.e. overpass, etc...
Otherwise I see a legal contest coming. The city may not win but it will cost UP legal time and money.

Seven to ten minutes might be tolerable if the trains were interesting to look at, but no, it's all looking the same like ground hog day over and over.

No overpass, no bypass.

Maybe UP could put Honey Buckets on each side of the crossings!  (^_^)
