Western Railroad Discussion > Texas Oklahoma engine heritageDate: 11/21/20 17:17 Texas Oklahoma engine heritage Author: SD45X TXOR 3076 SD40 body. Can't seem to Google any info. Anyone have her pedigree?

Only 3076 SD I recall was Southern 3076 which showed up in Pueblo, CO one day, courtesy the MP. Then three months later I was in Florida and the only shootable engine at the Southern facility was the 3076! Looking forward to finding out the heritage and maybe some more info o0n where you found her. Robert St Helens, OR Date: 11/21/20 19:48 Re: Texas Oklahoma engine heritage Author: Milwaukee My guess is it is the former CITX 3076. They got their 2785 from CITX. I think they came onboard about the same time so they probably got both from the same source. If true, it started life as SOO 751 in 1971 as a SD40.
