An eastbound coal train waits for a rested crew in Glendive @ 0750 this morning. For aviation enthusiasts, the contrail belongs to Alaska 1017, from MSP to SEA @ FL 380.

Bear update to story below: I deadheaded the conductor who was on that van! They were a dog catch crew to Hodges. The van driver insisted they were bears and he/she could be attacked by those bears after dropping the crew and being alone driving back. The conductor even approached one of the critters to prove they wouldn't attack. But to no avail, the van returned to Glendive with the dog catch crew.

Apparently they don't mind having some of their customers infect others with a potentially deadly disease.  How in the world did a fundamental health precaution in the midst of a pandemic that has killed over 250,000 Americans (not counting those in the rest of the world) become a political issue?  Freedom, by any definition, doesn't include the right to harm others.

At least the creator of the sign didn't exercise the freedom to get the first word wrong.

Many, many of us don't buy into the virus hysteria as you do. 

Since the overwhelming majority of the American public has now been trained (or forced) to wear masks at all times, all day long, whether at work, at Home Depot, driving in their car by themselves, walking their dog, etc, etc, how is it possible that the number of virus “cases” has been skyrocketing? Either the masks are nothing more than cosmetic theater, and are otherwise worthless, or there is something else going on.

This virus has been highly politicized and we won't know the real numbers of deaths that were actually directly caused by the virus for some time. 

I appreciate being treated like an adult and being allowed to chose whether to wear a damn mask or not.

If not wearing a mask was only a personal risk to YOU, then I'd say fine, do whatever you want.  The detail you apparently overlook is that wearing the mask is as much or more about protecting OTHERS.  During this pandemic, all of our actions affect everyone else in the community.  Wearing a mask is a small price to pay to save lives, prevent illness, keep schools opens, and help the economy.

You are part of the problem with that attitude. I don't have to guess where you got it from. I just lost a cousin to what you claim is highly politicized.
I doubt you understand why we need to wear masks . You soon to be replaced fuhr trump is the reason.

That's an ill informed and incredibly selfish attitude.

This thread won't last long. The fact plain and simple is that masks work (both ways) but they
can't and won't do their job until we all get the idea. It's not politics it's our lives and the lives
of our loved ones that are at stake. You will eventually come to understand.

Grizzlies are the bears to look out for!

Just had a kid born in a hospital in southern California with a great nurse and have a cousin, a friends wife, and a friends sister that all work in southern California hospitals and none of them know each other and they all say the virus exists but is blown way out of proportion. They have had patients with broken limbs and needed stitches and were told to list them as covid patients. One of them said they dedicated a whole floor of a hospital where they are at and in all the time this has existed, they have only had a couple patients. I myself want to see the list of deceased because something isn't right
