Western Railroad Discussion > BNSF Trains through FlagstaffDate: 11/26/20 13:09 BNSF Trains through Flagstaff Author: rtetro I've noticed the past few weeks BNSF has been moving trains through Flagstaff on the Seligman Sub on tracks reveresed from what is normal. Eastbound trains are run on what is normally the westbound track and vica versa. Does anyone know what's up with that?

truxton is located between valentine and peach springs, az. also, there are some threads on the truxton "flyover" here on t/o's and some videos i posted of it. check em out, they are interesting............ 66 Date: 11/26/20 14:09 Re: BNSF Trains through Flagstaff Author: callum_out It's that wonderful thing, the "new normal", makes lotsa sense when the train gets to Belen.

The closest track is the primary west bound, with a lot of reverse running.

Out Date: 11/27/20 10:54 Re: BNSF Trains through Flagstaff Author: Lackawanna484 With the completion of a second track through Abo Canyon, the completion of the Truxton flyover, and expanded fuel racks at Belen, BNSF has increased capacity considerably in the past 20 + years.
What's next on the capital projects list? Date: 11/28/20 14:15 Re: BNSF Trains through Flagstaff Author: rtetro That makes sense, 66. I wondered if Truxton was involved, but wiith the distance between Valentine and Flagstaff, I wasn't sure if it would make a difference. Being relatively mew to the AZrailfan scene, I didn't know if there was another crossover that was taking place. Thanks for the info, 66.
