'Stickers', what an appropriate and 'cheap' way of naming these heritage units !  The BNSF went all out on these, didn't they?

They are 25th Anniversary units.

And they didn't have to do anything at all if they didn't want to.
It's not like they're going to make any extra income off these units.

You do have a point. After all, they chucked all the red and silver paint just sitting around and bought thousands of gallons of  orange, yellow, green and black for that "new car image."

So why do other companies make an effort with special schemes? One benefit is to staff moral. Which benefits the bottom line if it's improved.

6111 would make a great roster shot if it wasn't for the background whatever they are.

Why waste the time painting them on when they will eventually just get burned off in typical GE fashion? This way if such a thing occurs it's easy to put another decal on. We all know what happens when a railroad feels like such things are a hassle. They stop doing them.

RRs, at least Class 1s, cannot be bothered by such things as staff moral......

They're empty shipping container chassis, stored vertically in chassis racks.
