Western Railroad Discussion > Update on SP 1727 restoration in DunsmuirDate: 01/13/21 12:56 Update on SP 1727 restoration in Dunsmuir Author: Soo715 The cosmetic restoration of Southern Pacific 1727, on display in Dunsmuir, has been going very well thanks to a sustained volunteer effort as well as professional painting made possible by a fundraising effort organized by "Friends of the 1727." The engine had fallen into serious disrepair and it is nice to see it looking good once again.
