It was cloudy foggy day in Ritzville, WA on the BNSF Northern Transcon. The high-low was 33-27 with 1/4 of snowfall. Fog finally lifted in the afternoon. Finally got my car out, haven't been able to drive with so much snow in the alley way. My neighbor with their four wheel drive got me around town to the food store, which was nice of them. Traffic is at 21 trains since midnight. There was a long lull from 543am to 1011am, maybe a work window. Here are some of the foggy trains from today and the last couple of days.

2/17/2021

1. WB 221pm grain train with BNSF 4334-H1 1079 on the point with DPU's.

4. WB 312pm coal train with BNSF 9024-9003-7676 on the pull with DPU and a friendly toot-toot from the hogger.

9. Bad Order boxcar being fixed by the mechanical dept. The night before heard a train lose it's air around 930pm. Felt sorry for the Conductor who had to walk entire long train and back looking BO car in 23 degree weather in the snow. It was a two hour operation.

15. With pea soup fog all morning this is all I could see WB 1011am oil train with BNSF 7373 on the very point with DPU.

The scenery is very nice in the Winter. I like the Ferromex unit. I could see one in Idaho in 2011.
We are in the second raining week here in town, but here it is Summer.
