Western Railroad Discussion > 3-4-2 Ore Train Down CajonDate: 02/23/21 09:34 3-4-2 Ore Train Down Cajon Author: spsniper Following up on "SPGoletaBlocks" post of the 20,000 ton 150 + car Ore train (ROGX Reporting Marks) down Cajon on Sunday! It was loaded at a mine near Cedar City, UT and going to the Port of Long Beach,
and we caught it breaking heavily at Mormon Rocks. In picture one, we started seeing the length of the train and the 4 unit mid-train engines at Davis Ranch, and we knew it was real heavy! Has anyone seen this train before with this power arrangement? Edited 4 time(s). Last edit at 02/23/21 12:01 by spsniper. Date: 02/23/21 12:04 Re: 3-4-2 Ore Train Down Cajon Author: mapboy It's the first one mentioned on TO. We have a big crew of spotters, but we could have missed an earlier train.

same configuration as shown on the pass. Guess Yermo had internal issues about splitting it. It's an evenly distributed train, as far it it makes the tons/dynamics/axle number it might not be an issue. Out Edited 3 time(s). Last edit at 02/23/21 12:56 by callum_out. There was issues with the sides getting stress cracks when loaded. One day the tipple wouldn't close and we had a full car of iren ore and pouring over the sides. Moved the LOAD and used an excavator to unload the car.
