It's the "Corinth" that "Counce"
Author: Fiftyfooter

Over the last 15 or so years I have seen these Corinth and Counce boxes in many different varieties of paint schemes and grafitti!
Some have the lettering and the big"C and R", and some are patched.(they are even making the more modern patched ones in HO).
But my son and I always loved the ones still with the original writing on the top left and the "C and R" on the right if you are lucky!

This one almost counted a week ago at Caliente, CA close but no logo!

The third pic is the one your looking for shot in Mojave last year!

I remember driving down from Memphis to chase their then-new SW1001.   Railroad owned by a paper company as I recall.

Here's what they looked like in fresh paint. I shot this on 12/4/82 in Lancaster.PA.  My records show it was already on it's third paint job at this point, having been built by FMC in 2/77 for the Providence & Worcester before going to New Orleans Public Belt.  Sometime in 1982 it ended up on the CCR.  Those Per Diem 50 footers really made the rounds.

Oh! I always thought those CCR cars were from the Creedence Clearwater Revival?

They're in bulk paper/cardboard service up here in the PNW. There are always several hanging around the PCA (Boise Cascade) mill in Wallula, WA and the PCA box plant in Richland.

I've been wondering if they catch any backhauls after delivering Nava beer over Eagle Pass to California or the PNW.
