Talgo's On The Coast
Author: SLORailfanning

After the Dupont train derailment in 2017, Talgo's Series 6 rail cars for Amtrak were to be removed from service. On Febuary 28th, 2021 the Series 6 Sets named "Mt Baker" & "Mt Hood" departed King Street Station in Seattle, WA for Anaheim, California where they would be scrapped. P42DC 129 lead the train. I chased the train from Bradley to Oceano. Attatched are the best pictures I snagged along with the videos

Nice coverage and classic images of the coast route with a foreign funeral train.

One end car was Mt. Hood.  The other end car of the same trainset was Mt Olympus.

A glimpse of what California High Speed Rail could/should have looked like.

All that's missing is the "Daylight" colors!

Although explained in earlier posts, I still question the merits of scrapping these carrs.
