Colorful Tuesday in the Upper Midwest

Sunny skies beckoned me trackside Tuesday and may I present the colors (trains) I saw starting with CP 288, BNSF 9314 passing Dresbach MN, then up to Dakota MN for CP 475, NS 9831 and CP 2/287 running north behind the CSXT 522. Not too bad of a start!

While at Dakota, I captured CP H20 with the CP 2309 dancing through the "S" curves on the north side of town. Back in La Crosse (WI) the CSXT 8906 led the X ANDCSX past the bluffs. Time to head down the River to Lansing Iowa to find CP 675 with the KCS 4117. I found them about 5 miles north of Lansing and this was my ticket back home.

With the impending CP / KCS merger, I'm kind of expecting more consists like one which was caught just south of New Albin Iowa and lastly south of La Crescent MN. Thanks for the company!

Great series of photos with a nice variety of colors.... Until everything is repainted after the merger it will be a nice show of colors. Thanks for sharing!
