Western Railroad Discussion > Fullerton in Evening TwilightDate: 04/05/21 22:59 Fullerton in Evening Twilight Author: CimaScrambler Three from this evening at Fullerton, CA, where I've been trying out a few ideas with the camera.
1) Metrolink 712 gliding to a stop on Track 3. 2) A passing train from Hobart Yard loaded with white JBHunt containers reflects the stationary light sources. 3) Shooting through the grid on the pedestrian overpass, trying to avoid softening the image too much. All several second exposures at minimum aperture and around ISO 200. The last two were also HDR with a four-stop spread in an attempt to keep from blowing out the streetlight globes. Fun on a So Cal spring evening. - Kit Kit Courter Menefee, CA LunarLight Photography Date: 04/06/21 05:03 Re: Fullerton in Evening Twilight Author: colehour Great photos that bring back happy memories! I used to ride the bike to Fullerton from my home in Norwalk and would sit around on the platform, occasionally chatting with other railfans who there. I saw the transformation of the facility during those years. There were also some nice restaturants in the area and I'm sure there still are.
I now live in an area where I don't even hear a train horn. Sad! Date: 04/06/21 06:15 Re: Fullerton in Evening Twilight Author: 3rdswitch Really nice. Brings back memories of the many stops made there.

If you still lived there, you still wouldn't hear a horn, it's a no horn zone.
