Western Railroad Discussion > If you like Funnelfan's Palouse Rails, a Book for YouDate: 04/06/21 20:21 If you like Funnelfan's Palouse Rails, a Book for You Author: railstiesballast Thank you Funnelfan for these recent posts and for all the wonderful photos and narratives you share.
I hope you don't mind me jumping in here, I would like to see more people interested. Here is a soft cover book that I recently read and highly recommend. I have had a deep appreciation for the Palouse region since moving to WA about a decade ago and Thomas Hillebrant is an excellent starting point for learning about "Palouse Rails" What is unique is that the author follows most of the lines covered through to their current status (of course quite a few are gone.) If you are at all interested I suppose a web search would find a copy.... He also lives in the Tri-Cities (richlnd, WA), actively raifans supporter of the Washington, Idaho & Montana Railway Historical group, where you can find a copy of his bool.
