Western Railroad Discussion > A real freight train in Dunsmuir Yard this morningDate: 08/01/21 07:28 A real freight train in Dunsmuir Yard this morning Author: photobob I thought I heard some power sitting in the yard this morning and low and behold there was a train. Being that it had empty auto racks it certainly wasn't bound for the CORP. This may be the first freight to venture across the repaired Dry Canyon Trestle when it opens.

I am on vacation the next couple weeks and out of the loop but yes I think it's going to be open very soon. I am making this guesstimate based on the BNSF is telling us. The carrier is saying there will be reroute 1 train a day each way "working up to 2 trains each way per day as the week progresses". I would have to re read the message but I am pretty sure they mean this week. But they also said this will be based on how much the UP can handle and what kind of time slots we will have for said trains. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 08/02/21 13:11 by GN599.
