Western Railroad Discussion > Arkansas and Missouri infoDate: 09/14/21 10:21 Arkansas and Missouri info Author: march_hare If I understand correctly, the A&M now runs north to Monett in daylight, and south in the overnight darkness.
What would be a good guess as to when they would be found in Monett? Do they do any switching work on the southbound trip? Date: 09/14/21 12:16 Re: Arkansas and Missouri info Author: 3rdswitch Departure from Springdale is NORMALLY between 0700 and 0800 hrs, arrival in Monett depends on switching at two elevators five miles south of Monett, which they CAN switch both directions. AND, depending on when BNSF lets them in the yard in Monett. As additional info, the branch is in excellent shape and they are OFTEN making the 49 mph max allowed. Last chase, they switched the southern most elevator on the northbound trip, previous chase, they switched the northern most elevator for well over and hour, then stopped to switch the second one, the two of which are in sight of each other.
