Western Railroad Discussion > CP transfers on the IHBDate: 10/20/21 11:03 CP transfers on the IHB Author: GN1969 Does CP use its own power on the IHB transfers to CSX and NS?
Is the IHB as good for CP transfers to CSX and NS as the EJ&E has been for CN running around Chicago? Thanks. Date: 10/20/21 11:34 Re: CP transfers on the IHB Author: ghemr CP doesn't interchange directly with CSX and vice versa. Instead, they use the BRC Clearing Yard to accomplish this. I should note my statement is based on carload freight, not run-through trains.

However, it's possible that some transfers to CSX occur via IHB's Norpaul Yard located south of the Metra/CP main at Franklin Park.
