BNSF to demolish Marceline coal towers

BNSF is to demolish the coaling towers that are in the Marceline, Mo yard within the next month. Go get your final pictures ASAP! :(

Also do not trespass in the yards to get your photos! You can get photos from walking up the Gracia Ave overpass, by parking at the city pool, etc.

Did the city stop using the structure for salt/sand storage for winter??  They were using it for that in the past.

I’m not sure. I know down the line a few towns they were offered low or no taxes on a new garage so they tore down a beautiful depot and put up a metal building about a year or two ago.
