At 2:15 p.m. on Friday, November 26, 2021, the day after Thanksgiving, Joint Powers Board (JPBX, CalTrain) 918 "County of San Mateo" is departing San José, CA under the new catenary at San Jose Diridon Station with modified service schedule train 245.
JPBX 918 "County of San Mateo" is an EMD F40PH-2CAT. Reportedly: JPBX 918 was built by EMD in 1987 as an F40PH-2 CDTX 918 serial number 866171-1.

Steve, that's an excellent shot, not just the lighting but also the composition! Personal opinion, I'm really tired of the nose
only shots that keep showing up, but that's just me.

Thanks, it really helps that the train was crossing over from track 5 to track 6. The poles reduce options there now.

Same situation at South City now with the center platform really limiting options but the southbound track doglegs west for the platform and you get a bit more broadside on them. There's a bunch of utility boxes on the platform I'm going to try standing on them and using a wide angle lens. To try to counteract the headon thing.
