Some older MRL, just because
Author: BobE

At the western foot of Bozeman Pass.  I marked this slide "Rocky Creek;" I have no idea what a proper name is for this spot, but IIRC, it's just a few yards off an I-90 exit for Rocky Creek.  September 28, 2004.

Very nice!  Looks like you were right at the Moffitt Gulch Road crossing.  I usually just call it Bozeman, although I realize the CP at E. Bozeman is another couple of miles to the west.  The detector at MP 135.2 is right there too IIRC.  This view looks in the opposite direction back toward Livingston.

MRL photo is excellent.  A real pleaser.

I believe so.  They had a couple back then.

MRL had at least one patched Kodachrome ex-SP SD45E. I saw it, and took a picture of it, at Bellville, TX, on a BNSF train, oh, about 18 years ago. I need to find that picture.

They had a few of them, I believe. Basically the last group of SD45Rs were let go by SP / returned to lessor around the time of the UP merger, and those happened to be going through their rebuilds at the time of the SPSF painting frenzy -- so a handful of those returned were still in Kodachrome paint. And then some of those wound up on MRL (along with others from that series in Roman or Speed Lettering). Looking around, I can find photos of 7556, 7557, and 7559 in Kodachrome with MRL patch; it's possible there was one more, but that's what I'm seeing.

That's one I can remember having shot on the MRL.  7556 was its MRL number.
