Date: 01/25/22 20:50 Re: Runaway rail car rolls 14 miles in Walla Walla (WA) Author: MirandaDepot According to the article, the car took Highway 12.
Date: 01/25/22 21:10 Re: Runaway rail car rolls 14 miles in Walla Walla (WA) Author: yorknl I'm impressed it managed to hit 50mph without derailing. The last time I was on that stretch of Highway 12 (admittedly several years ago) the track didn't look particularly robust.

Nickatnight Date: 01/26/22 05:02 Re: Runaway rail car rolls 14 miles in Walla Walla (WA) Author: sp8192 Looks like it has an EOT on it at least! Guessing it was the rear car of a local train that cut off on the main, and the crew forgot to tie a hand brake?

Funny thing is I had the same thoughts when watching the autonomous rail car video. It seems like a realistic parrallel.
