Port of Longview WA rail terminals
Author: DelMonteX

A couple of weeks ago, on my way to family outing on the Oregon Coast, I spent a little while taking another look a the rail/ship terminals at Longview WA, on the Columbia River.

1) Here's the Bridgeview Terminal operated by International Raw Materials
2) Wind Turbine Kits, looks like there destination will be via trucks.
3) An LTEX lease unit resting between assignments.

4) The Export Grain Terminal (EGT).  A sceniced Plywood Pacific model RR.
5) Another portion of the EGT, with an empty getting ready to depart.
6) The empty on it's way out of town.   Engineer had a difficult time getting the locomotives to do more than 5 mph.  Called BNSF Mechanical and they worked on the problem for a few minutes and the engineer was left to check on something.  He called back and explained he'd figured out the problem.   Still in low speed mode for working through the grain terminal.

Could the Wind Turbine Kits be fresh off a ship, waiting to be loaded onto a train?

Really great pics Steve.  You ilustrate the power of perspective with your drone very well!

Looks like an old Nathan M5 horn on 2377. Great coverage!

Yes.  I have seen shiploads several times now, they bring whole towers from China IIRC.  Includes blades and power heads.
