Lucky Friday the 13th BNSF consist at US Cavalry-era old depot
Author: highgreengraphics

Friday the thirteenth, 2022 turned out to be a lucky day on BNSF's Front Range Subdivision in Colorado and Wyoming as the Denver-Laurel (MT) manifest of the day had an unusual consist of two warbonnets bracketing a similarly-old livery CSX unit. In the late afternoon after a crew change in Cheyenne, here it is rolling past the historic ancient wood depot at Federal, WY, the first siding north of Cheyenne 17 miles, I have read named such and the station shaped as it is because many US Cavalry horses were once commonly offloaded here. === === = === JLH
