Rolling On The BNSF Northern Transcon--A Bit Of Traction
Author: Ritzville

It was a cool cloudy blustery(25-40mph) day in Ritzville, WA on the BNSF Lakeside Sub. The high-low was 64-48 with .08 of drops. Wind to last thru tonight. Traffic is at 19 trains since midnight with more on the way. I believe MoW has a project in the works soon with all the office trailers and equipment in town. Here are some trains from Monday and Tuesday with a bit of Traction.

#18 we are on San Pedro near 8th, Los Angeles.  Here is the current view. The brick parapet on the building is the giveaway. Yesterday I tried to find a current view of the turn onto the viaduct from San Pedro but it was a depressing sight with squatters on the sidewalk. The flower district looks better.

Thanks Railpax71 for the up to date look at San Pedro Ave. Good to see some of the old buildings are there. Thanks "usmc1319", I'm not sure of the auto, looks like late 50's model. Thanks Bill, looked at in my book of birds, might be a finch.

#20 is of a Key Route tower. Keyrouteken only posted his adventures at tower #2.  I believe this is tower #3 down the track from the other Emeryville picture posted recently around Yerba Buena and San Pable..

Lots of very interesting traffic and very nice cloud formations for photography.
BNSF #9782 was a nice catch made even better by companion BNSF #9163.
Little red bird has a greaty vantage spot.

MTA #1543 looks great rolling down the street.
LA bus scene is a super liker with #5211 GM "New Look".
Mack busses in Boston outlasted those in Louisville.

Thanks for the daily update and the great traction scenes.

I believe the bird is a House Finch.  What is being hauled in the MRL covered gondolas?  I assume the "Grain Train"cars are owned by a private company. Does anybody know their name?

I think everybody has left.  I guess our questions shall forever remain unanswered.
