Can someone please provide the current days of operation for the Portland & Western’s Toledo hauler? I may be in the Albany, Oregon area on Friday or Saturday. Thanks

Westbound runs (to Toledo) happen after dark, M-F
Eastbound runs (back to Albany) are Tu-Fr.
It typically rolls through Philomath between 12:30-2:00 pm, but not always.
Sometimes they set out at Ashahr (between Corvallis and Albany), but not always.

Why, yes, I did mean Tu-Sat!  Thanks for catching that.
It's what I was thinking, just not what I wrote!

...and the weather-guessers are promising to bless you with sunny skies!  Those have been rare in these parts for a while.
Consider also: the Westsider.  The sky is getting light early enough now that the departure from Albany for the return trip to McMinnville sometimes occurs in daylight!  Most times (that I’ve seen it) the 3369 (SD-40) is on the point.

I was recently told (by a Toledo resident) that the"Patch" leaves Toledo by 7 AM Tue- Sat and is over the summit around noon, which jives with the 1:30 appearance in Philomath.

Usually true, but about half the times I’ve tried to chase it; it departed at 6am!

The eastbound train, called the Toledo Patch, is often at Summit by 11 am.  We saw it today aat Blodgett at 11:15 with only 12 empty chip cars.  At 2:15, it was making its way through Corvallis.

Arrival times at Corvallis Jct. vary widely.  It's a crapshoot.
Generally anywhere between 4am and 7am.

Friday's (May 20) Toledo Hauler departed Toledo shortly after 8am with six units and 34 cars. Crested the hill at Summit @ 11:46. Thanks to all who provided info.

What is the speed limit on the line?

My 20+-year old timetable says 10-20 mph west of Philomath, but it seemed they rarely exceeded 10mph.
