Will be visiting the area for a few hrs anyone know which end of Missoula yard is busier? Or what times Thanks Tom

Both ends of the yard are easily viewable form public property and the east end features a pedestrian bridge. The west side of the yard would be slightly busier as the MRL twice daily “Gas Locals” originate and terminate at a terminal at the west end of the yard. The Day Gas returns after lunch and the Night Gas is usually on duty at 4PM and on the pull by 4:30 and is a fun chase, particularly if they take the 10th sub over Evaro Hill where the line spilts at Desmet west of town.
