Why Rail Workers Are Striking in UK
Author: SooGuy64

This involves railroads in the UK but the issues are quite similar to the US Class 1s.

Why is there a train strike? The reason rail workers are striking explained and if there will be more strikes (inews.co.uk)

There is a good deal of public support here for the strikers, though not of course by all. I suspect it will be a long dispute.

The public are very dependent on trains in the UK for commuting to work so I suspect there will be increasing pressure on the employers to settle.
